History

History is about the events of the human past and their causes and effects.

This area potentially includes a wide variety of countries and regions of the world, and covering different periods of time.

This could be from before written records existed ('prehistory') to the present day.

As well as studying the 'facts and figures' of the past, studying history involves about learning how to interpret and put them into context.
