Dental Technology is about making appliances for patients' mouths and other parts of their face – in order to improve their appearance, speech or chewing.

Examples include dentures, implants, crowns, orthodontic devices, as well as artificial eyes, ears and other maxillofacial prostheses.

Studying in this area involves learning about facial anatomy, materials, design and practical skills.
